Graphic Design Spotlight: Barks and Bubbles Logo

Starting a new business is so exciting, there are so many things to do before you can start taking new customers, like securing EIN numbers, filing statuses, articles of organization…. One thing that is extremely important for most businesses is their first logo. After all you can’t do many important tasks without one, like creating business cards, or having a logo to incorporate on your social media accounts and Google pages.

Barks and Bubbles, a pet grooming service reached out to HM&D for help in creating their logo to begin their brand, and we were obviously so excited to help.

The above logo is the finished product after several draft rounds. We are thrilled with the results, which include a fun circular bubble design and paw print lettermark. Before we got here we drew inspiration from the business owners, here was their sketch which illustrated their initial design direction.

From their take on what they wanted we drew inspiration from the shape, the use of paw print imagery, the color. When creating logos we never give you just one, and we always include “outside the box” options that may spark some sort of design ideas the customer may not have originally even considered, they don’t always veer from the original and more classic interpretations, but sometimes it winds up pivoting the project, in a good way!

the 10 above options were what the customer was supplied after the first pass. They decided to move forward with edits on number 4 which is where the final design came from and evolved from.
